ART HISTORY

Every art class should begin with an art history sample or reproduction. Students develope a understanding of geography and other cultures by exploring art history. Discussing the content of a work of art promotes criticil thinking. Considering the artist's intent increases students cognative skills.

Copyright laws prohibit the exhibition of historical works of art on a web site without payment for use. We can, however, link to third pary sites as examples of art history as a teaching tool.

You will find specfic links to museums and topical web sites on each of the lesson plan pages. Listed below are general sites of general interest.
