coil.pots.jpg

SCROLL DOWN

These are traditional stoneware coil pots. They were fired to cone 6 oxidation or about 2290 degree fahrenheit in an electric kiln. The making of pots is hardly new, like iPods or digital photography. Visit the Metropolitain Museum Of Art, New York City, New York, USA web site to see a sample of a bowl with painted decoration, ca. 26001900 B.C. Excavated at Damb Sadaat (level III), Pakistan. @ www.metmuseum.org/
