Visiting Artists have the oppertunity to introduce teachers and students to new learning systems and creative processes.
The Classroom learning System [ CLS ] has been created to foster highest student achievement. The ideal time to present a t-shirt project to a class is at the beginning of each school year.
CLS experts agree that team building should begin the very first day of school each year. Teachers are presented with an incohesive group the first day of the school year. Preliminary events stimulate the construction of a new community and its culture.
The Classroom.

As students learn to work together and have a mutual respect for each other, the community operates more efficiently. In a well developed community, there is less "off task" behavior. Students work together to reach their highest level of achievement as individuals and as a team.
Once ground rules have been established, the task at hand is to create a class logo or design for the team t-shirt. Examples of successful team logos are shown and discussed. Students then proceed to create their own submission for the class. A process of elimination begins. All the designs are presented. Designs are withdrawn at each round until the most favored remains.
Each student is asked to provide a white cotton t-shirt. Shirts are printed during class while students work on an assignment. Each student is summoned to watch and assist during the screening process of their shirt. Classroom teachers are encouraged to bring in a shirt, as well, to lead the team.
