“CAMEO” VASE ENLARGEMENT |
This is a close-up, enlarged, view of the
Cameo vase. The Kiawah story is still emerging and unfinished. This
particular technique is called “sgriffito.” Lines are cut
into the glaze to reveal the color of the clay body below. This is a
timeless technique It can be found on pots that are thousnads of years old.
