Vase: Tall Iris is a marvelous vase whose design was inspired by a bout with an apparatus that creates huge soap bubbles. It is simply a rope on a stick that you dip into a pan of a soapy solution. The result is the production of enormus floating bubbles. The lid on this vase is intended to represent the lens like distortion the bubbles create as they float over a bed of irises in the garden.
